Mr. Arjun Sheoran is the Managing Partner of Vaakya Legal and oversees the firm’s overall operations. Based primarily in Chandigarh, he has extensive experience practicing before courts and judicial forums across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.
His areas of expertise include criminal law, constitutional and public law, human rights law, consumer law, and food safety laws. Mr. Sheoran is an alumnus of the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, widely regarded as one of Asia’s leading law schools. He is also a recognized commentator on legal and constitutional issues and is frequently invited by national news channels for expert insights on matters of public importance.
Mrs. Sultana Sonawane is the Senior Partner at Vaakya Legal and has been practicing as an Advocate since 1993. She heads the Mumbai office of the firm. In addition to her responsibilities at Vaakya Legal, she currently serves as the Additional Public Prosecutor at the Bombay High Court, representing the State of Maharashtra in criminal law matters.
With extensive experience before the Supreme Court of India, the Bombay High Court, and various judicial forums, she has built a distinguished legal career spanning multiple areas of litigation. She also specializes in arbitral proceedings, including international commercial arbitration matters.
Ms. Neha Sonawane is a Founder Partner at Vaakya Legal and heads the Chandigarh office of the firm. She regularly represents clients before various judicial forums, including the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Prior to joining Vaakya Legal, she worked with one of India’s leading law firms, Mulla & Mulla Craigie Blunt & Caroe, at their Mumbai Head Office. Her practice focuses on corporate law, civil law, and commercial arbitration. She also leads the drafting and conveyancing division of the firm.
Ms. Aditi Sheoran is a Barrister & Solicitor associated with Vaakya Legal. She practices trial law across Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana. She brings extensive experience in litigation and legal advisory across diverse areas of law. Her areas of specialization include civil law, property law, matrimonial disputes, and domestic violence matters. She is a graduate of the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh and plays a key role in strengthening the firm’s trial and dispute resolution practice across North India.
